Ingredients

  • 6 c Apples, medium, cut into slices, Granny Smith (4-5 apples)
  • ½ c Sugar substitute, divided
  • 1 t Cinnamon
  • ½ c Flour
  • ¼ c Whole wheat flour
  • ⅓ c Margarine, cold
  • ¼ c Brown sugar

Directions

  1. PREHEAT oven to 425˚F.
  2. PLACE apples in a bowl, and add 2 T of the sugar substitute and the cinnamon. MIX well, and POUR into a deep-dish pie plate (9 in).
  3. In a separate bowl, COMBINE the remaining sugar substitute, flours, margarine, and brown sugar.
  4. MIX until crumbly, and SPRINKLE over apples.
  5. BAKE in the oven for 10 minutes, then REDUCE the temperature to 350˚F, and BAKE for an additional 35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
