c = cup, T = tablespoon, t = teaspoon, lb = pound, oz = ounce, fl oz = fluid ounce, pkg = package


  • 1 ¾ c Chicken broth, reduced sodium (1 cn)
  • 1 c Oats
  • Cooking Spray
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Egg white
  • ¼ c Cheddar, reduced fat, shredded
  • 2 T Chives, chopped
  • ¼ c Canadian bacon slices, chopped


  1. In a small saucepan, BOIL chicken broth. ADD oats, STIR and REDUCE heat. SIMMER until tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. HEAT another small pan over medium heat. SPRAY with cooking spray. ADD egg and egg white and SCRAMBLE eggs until cooked.
  3. SERVE 1/2 c oatmeal in each bowl and TOP with cheese, scrambled egg, chives and Canadian bacon.
