c = cup, T = tablespoon, t = teaspoon, lb = pound, oz = ounce, fl oz = fluid ounce, pkg = package


  • 1 ½ c Brown sugar, packed
  • ½ c Cocoa powder
  • ½ c Milk, skim
  • ¼ c Margarine, softened
  • 2 t Vanilla
  • 1 c Flour, whole wheat
  • ¾ c Flour
  • 2 ½ t Baking powder
  • ¼ t Salt
  • 1 ½ c Oats, quick-cooking, dry
  • Cooking Spray


  1. WASH hands with soap and water.
  2. PREHEAT oven to 350°F.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, MIX brown sugar, cocoa powder, milk, margarine and vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, MIX flours, baking powder and salt.
  5. BEAT flour mixture into margarine mixture.
  6. STIR in oatmeal.
  7. SPRAY a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  8. DROP by tablespoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
  9. BAKE for 8-10 minutes or until set.
