Ingredients

  • ½ c Almonds, slivered
  • 3 T Sugar
  • 6 c Romaine lettuce
  • 3 c Spinach, fresh
  • 1 c Celery, chopped
  • 1 qt Strawberries, fresh
  • 2 Green onions, chopped
  • ⅛ t Pepper
  • ¼ c Oil
  • 1 T Parsley, chopped
  • 2 T Sugar
  • 2 T Vinegar
  • ⅛ t Hot sauce

Directions

  1. Over medium heat, COOK almonds and sugar. STIR until almonds are coated, COOL before serving.
  2. MIX romaine, spinach, celery, strawberries and onion together in a large bowl.
  3. To prepare dressing, MIX pepper, oil, parsley, sugar, vinegar, and hot sauce.
  4. ADD almonds and dressing over mixed greens. TOSS and SERVE.
