Ingredients

  • 4 Apples, medium
  • ½ c Raisins or prunes (snipped)
  • 2 T Brown sugar
  • ½ t Cinnamon
  • ¼ t Nutmeg, ground
  • 1/3 c Apple juice or water

Directions

  1. CORE apples; PEEL a strip from the top of each.
  2. PLACE apples in a 2-qt casserole dish. COMBINE the raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg: SPOON into center of apples.
  3. POUR apple juice into casserole dish. BAKE apples in a 350 degree oven for 40-45 minutes or until the apples are tender.
