c = cup, T = tablespoon, t = teaspoon, lb = pound, oz = ounce, fl oz = fluid ounce, pkg = package


  • 3 lb Chicken breasts, skinless
  • ¼ t Pepper
  • 1 t Garlic powder
  • 1 t Dried thyme
  • 3 c Onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 ½ c Reduced sodium chicken broth
  • ¼ c Lemon juice
  • 1 Lemon, sliced


  1. PREHEAT oven to 400° F.
  2. COMBINE pepper, garlic and thyme.
  3. LAY chicken pieces into a 11 x 13 baking dish.
  4. SPRINKLE seasonings over chicken.
  5. COMBINE onions, broth and lemon juice in a saucepan.
  6. HEAT to a boil.
  7. POUR hot lemon mixture around chicken.
  8. TOP each chicken piece with a slice of lemon.
  9. BAKE for 30 minutes, or until golden brown and juices are clear.
