Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ c Bakery mix, low-fat
  • 1 c Water, divided (½ c & ½ c)
  • 1 lb Ground beef, extra lean
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 can Tomato soup, condensed (10 ¾ oz)
  • 1 T Taco seasoning (Get Fresh! recipe)
  • ½ c Cheese, cheddar/mexi-blend, reduced fat
Optional toppings:
  • Lettuce, shredded Tomato, chopped Salsa

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, MIX bakery mix and 1/2 c water.
  2. KNEAD dough until it’s mixed well and formed into a ball. If needed, KNEAD on a floured surface.
  3. CUT/TEAR dough into 20-25 pieces. ROLL into balls and PLACE in an 8x8 baking dish sprayed with cooking spray.
  4. To the skillet, ADD soup, seasoning and 1/2 c water. BRING to a BOIL.
  5. PREHEAT the oven to 375°F. In a large skillet, COOK meat on medium-high until done. RINSE, DRAIN and RETURN to skillet.
  6. REDUCE heat and SIMMER for 3-5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  7. POUR heated mixture into the 8x8 dish and TOP with cheese.
  8. BAKE for 15 minutes until dough is cooked through and cheese is melted. SERVE with toppings.
