Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground beef, extra lean
  • 1 Onion, small, diced
  • 2 cans Tomato sauce, no salt added (15 oz each)
  • ½ t Black pepper
  • ½ t Garlic powder
  • ¼ t Cumin
  • 2 t Chili powder
  • ¼ t Cayenne pepper
  • 1 ½ c Kidney beans, rinsed and drained

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, COOK ground beef and onions until meat is brown and onion is translucent.
  2. POUR meat mixture in a colander over sink, RINSE to remove fat. WIPE out skillet.
  3. RETURN meat mixture to skillet and ADD tomato sauce, spices and beans.
  4. Let SIMMER on low at least 20 minutes.
