Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 lb Ground beef, extra lean
  • ½ c Onion, chopped
  • ½ c Bell pepper
  • ¾ c Cheese, cheddar, reduced fat
  • ½ c Bakery mix, low fat
  • ½ c Cornmeal
  • ¼ t Salt
  • ¼ t Pepper
  • ¼ t Italian seasoning
  • 1 c Milk, skim
  • 2 Egg whites

Directions

  1. PREHEAT oven to 425°F.
  2. SPRAY a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray.
  3. In a skillet, PLACE ground beef, onion and bell pepper and COOK on medium high heat until browned. DRAIN and RINSE.
  4. POUR meat mixture into prepared pie dish. SPRINKLE with cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, MIX bakery mix, cornmeal, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.
  6. To the mixture, ADD egg whites and milk. MIX well. POUR over meat and cheese
  7. BAKE for 25 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
