Interests

Professional Interests:

I enjoy learning and teaching others helpful information related to nutritious eating. Some areas of interest include cooking techniques, healthy eating tips, old and new recipes, and the benefits of growing your own food. I love being able to share this information with the community and make a difference in the way families prepare their meals and the food they eat.

Personal Interests:

I am active in my church. I love spending time with my children, grandchildren and extended family. I enjoy gardening and have raised gardens both at home and work where I grow herbs, vegetables and fruit. I like to cheer on the Sooners and Thunder!

Inspiration

My oldest daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was seven. I was amazed to learn how important making the right food choices was (and still is) to her health. As we met others who were struggling with their eating habits, it became apparent to me that I wanted to do whatever I could to help others learn the importance of making good food choices.

Why I Love My Job

It is a dream come true for me to share with others the importance of making good food choices and keeping physically active. It is a blessing to help people achieve their goals of living a healthier life.
