Interests

Professional Interests:

Interactive nutrition education with kids and families. I love to make learning about food fun with games, music or friendly competition!

Personal Interests:

Watching high school and college basketball games; Go Ada Cougars and go Pokes! Activities with my kids such as pig shows, playing basketball or supporting them in 4-H and aviation events bring me joy. Shopping is my stress reliever, even if just looking and not buying anything.

Inspiration

I knew I wanted to work in the health field and attend OSU. Over Thanksgiving of my junior year in high school, my cousin told me about studying dietetics at OSU and I immediately knew food and health was for me, and the rest is history!

Why I Love My Job

  1. We have the freedom to dream big and then have the support to make them come true! I have never been bored in my nearly 20-year career with the Chickasaw Nation Nutrition Services team as there are always new, innovative adventures on the horizon.
  2. I get to work side-by-side with a team that has just as much passion for food and serving others as I do. The enthusiastic team vibe and “Can Do” attitudes make it exciting to come to work and conquer the next adventure together!
  3. Food is nature’s medicine and I love that I get to focus on programming to teach my community how to live their best life through the fuel/food they choose each day.
