3 c. cracked corn
(pearl hominy), cleaned and washed
1 lb. pork steak
2 qt. water
BRING water to a boil and ADD corn. COOK slowly, stirring often. When water level is low add more water throughout entire cooking time. When corn is about halfway done, ADD pork. COOK until meat and corn are tender and soft. The mixture should be soupy. Cooking time is about 5 hours. May add over two quarts of water during cooking time.
Makes 13 1-cup servings.
