c = cup, T = tablespoon, t = teaspoon, lb = pound, oz = ounce, fl oz = fluid ounce, pkg = package


  • 1 lb Ground beef, extra lean
  • ½ c Bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ c Onion, chopped
  • 1 Garlic clove, minced
  • ⅛ t Pepper, ground
  • ⅓ c Cheddar cheese, shredded, reduced fat
  • 2 T Pickle relish
  • 1 T Mustard
  • 1 ½ T Ketchup
  • 1 T Milk
  • 4 Hamburger buns, whole wheat


  1. In a skillet over medium heat, COOK ground beef with peppers, onions and garlic.
  2. DRAIN meat mixture and RINSE under hot water. RETURN mixture to the skillet.
  3. ADD pepper, cheese, relish, mustard, ketchup and milk. MIX until cheese is melted.
  4. SERVE on whole wheat buns and TOP with lettuce and tomato.
